Shoreline restoration, shoreline stabilization, and erosion control
—expert manpower and wide–ranging equipment to get the job done right
At Crosscreek Environmental, we're committed to protecting and preserving the beauty and value of our shorelines in the most environmentally friendly and cost effective means possible. As waves, weather, and storm water runoff erodes shorelines, our skilled teams and advanced equipment offer a ready response. We deliver experience and skills in shoreline stabilization, shoreline restoration, shoreline erosion control, lake bank stabilization, lake bank restoration, and lake bank erosion control in Bradenton, Sarasota, Tampa, Orlando & additional areas.
A NON–INVASIVE SHORELINE RESTORATION AND SHORELINE STABILIZATION SOLUTION
Crosscreek Environmental is one of the most experienced geotube solution providers on Florida's west coast offering our B.E.S.T.™ (Bank Erosion Stabilization Tube). Geotubes provide a cost effective, superior, UV tolerant solution to shoreline restoration, protection, and erosion control.
Composed of durable textiles, the geo–tubes are filled with dredged sediments and sand collected onsite. Our hydraulic mini dredges take the sediments eroded from the shoreline and pump them into the geotubes, which then form a contoured natural barrier along the original shoreline. Native grasses and plants can be reestablished over the geotubes, forming a beautiful and defined shoreline once again. The geo–tube system also serves a natural filter, absorbing runoff fertilizers and pesticides and helping to control algae blooms.
The right equipment gets the job done
MENZI MUCK, SKID STEER LOADERS, MINI DREDGES, AND MORE
For erosion control and shoreline restoration projects, we're equipped with an inventory of heavy equipment such as skid steer loaders and our all–terrain Menzi Muck outfitted for use in waterways. With its extended chassis and adjustable stabilizers, the Menzi Muck excavator navigates safely and efficiently through soft ground and hard–to–access locations.
ROCK ARMOR SHORELINE STABILIZATION
For some shoreline and lake bank restoration projects, we recommend the use of riprap–clean construction rubble and rock against shoreline erosion. Our team of experts can evaluate each project and recommend the proper size and mass of riprap materials to trap and slow the water's eroding effects against the shoreline.
