Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and friendly Aquatic Spray Technician to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in herbicide application, a passion for outdoor work, and a desire to contribute to preserving Florida's ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply herbicides and aquatic pesticides to control invasive plant species in lakes, ponds, and wetlands.
- Operate and maintain spraying equipment, ensuring its safe and efficient use.
- Monitor and assess treated areas to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Collaborate with our team to develop effective vegetation management plans.
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot and humid Florida summers.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in herbicide application and knowledge of aquatic plant management.
- A valid pesticide applicator's license (Florida Category 5) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean Driving Record is Required
